Charter
E & B utilizes Bell helicopters to perform a wide range
of services, mostly tailored to the forest industry. We provide
helicopters starting from the R22, R44, Bell Jet Ranger 206, Long Ranger
III, to the widely accepted Bell 407. Allowing us to move from one to six
passengers. The R22 is mainly used for training. With the R44's low
maintenance costs and reliable performance, it is the ideal combination to
accomplish such work as surveys, IR, etc…The 206 Jet and Long Ranger are
very versatile helicopters, performing multiple task related to the forest
industry such as; moving fallers, engineers, foresters, surveys, cone
picking, etc…The 407 model is more described as a work horse! With it's
cruise speed of approximately 130Kts and lift capability of more than one
ton, the 407 is the ideal machine for application such as; moving larger
groups of people, heli-skiing, grappling, drill moves, etc… Long line and external load operations
From slinging trees to assembling towers, we use 50' to 200' of
line. Fire Fighting
Utilizing a 60-gallon "Bambi Bucket" for the R44, and up to
200 imp. gallon bucket for the 407 we can make short work of any task. The
407 bucket is equipped with a still well refilling valve which allows
ground crew to be more efficient on the hillside. This prevents the pilot
from having to change equipment to assist them; therefore more water can
be applied on the fire. With its speed and agility, it has the capability
to insert double the initial attack crews than the standard
light/intermediate helicopter. Another advantage is its stability for
hover exit insertions this make safety our number one concern. Tree Topping
An auxiliary Honda engine powers the tree topper. The pilot
presses and releases a switch to control the hydraulic cutting head. In
about six seconds, the blade cuts tops up to nine inches in diameter. It
allows a production of up to 150 trees an hour depending on the site.
Aerial seeding and road
deactivation
The seeding bucket is equipped with a control switch to open and close
the door activated by the pilot. The amount of seed dispensed can be
adjusted manually depending on the concentration of the mixture. Grappling
The Bell 407 equipped with a grapple can efficiently harvest
your wood at a competitive cost per meter. From the hillside to the
landing, piling for larger helicopters, creek cleaning in environmentally
sensitive areas, and inserting crews on the hillside the Bell 407 is a
safe and versatile helicopter. With a 2000lb/turn average, depending on
layout of the wood and distance to destination, the 407 can move 40-60
cubic meters an hour. With 50 - 200 ft line capability we can work just
about any terrain that Mother Nature can send our way. Our highly trained
and well-equipped 407 crews can operate independently or in conjunction
with your field personnel.
Drill moves
With a capability of lifting over a ton, good visibility, the 407 is a
very suitable aircraft for such application such as drill moves. It's
power margin offer the pilot and ground crew additional safety while
assembling the different pieces. Bird
towing
Using either the Long Ranger or the 407 depending on the size of the
bird and the duration of the job, we can accommodate a variety of tasks in
mining exploration. Photo/Video
platforms
Helicopters offer a unique perspective for aerial photo and video
applications. You can employ the R22 for a single cameraman to the 407
with an entire film crew. The 407 as a sliding door that can be opened in
flight so there are no limitations to speed while enroute to the
location.. Medivac
